December 2 and 3, 2024
9AM - 3:30pm EST / 4PM - 10:30PM Israel

Healing Truama for First Responders during War and Conflict gives therapists an inside look at the trauma experienced by Soldiers and other First Responders during times of war. In collaboration with Stephanie Neuman, LCSW, we bring real-life experience to the table for discussion, understanding and healing. This course will provide education for therapists in trauma, neuroscience, cultural competence, understanding of how the brain of a First Responder works, and build confidence in the process of healing various trauma types. Participants will also gain an understanding of the after-effects of war during times of conflict. Detailed discussion of case studies, and how First Responders react to trauma and survive will be the highlights of this workshop

About Stephanie

Before becoming a therapist, Stephanie was an officer for over 10 years. During that time in law enforcement, she experienced many critical and volatile events giving Stephanie first-hand exposure to the traumas of law enforcement. At only eight weeks on the job as a patrol officer, she was involved in an officer-involved shooting. This critical event ultimately led her to a culturally competent therapist who helped navigate Stephanie’s traumas. This ultimately led Stephanie to pursue a Master’s in Social work and focus on healing trauma with other first responders. Stephanie is now an LCSW and has been a trauma therapist for the past ten years. Her primary clientele are people with severe trauma. She sees numerous first responders and military personnel. Stephanie has taken the basics of her training as a cop and integrated it with Brainspotting techniques to create a powerful model of healing her clients efficiently and effectively.
